VISA

Zambia has a three tier visa system.Some nationalities qualiffy for a free visa entry .Other nationalities can get a visa on arrival and other nationalities must apply for a visa before leaving their home country.Zambia also has a Kaza visa which allows travellers to enter Zambia and Zimbabwe  on one visa and allows day trips to Botswana.

Tourist visas  are available at all major ports of entry including boarders and airport.

Zambian visas are priced according to the duration of stay

HEALTH

Travellers should be up to date with all  their vaccinations before visiting Zambia.Malaria prophylaxis are highly recommended. Travellers are advised to drink bottled water,keep hydrated always due to slightly higher temperatures.Modern private and public hospitals and clinics are available in all major cities and towns.Health insurance is highly recommended.

Zambia has a tropical climate typically hot and humid with seasonal rains .

Rainy season December- March

with mild winter  season in June and July

The best time to visit

*Big 5 sightings in April -November .During the dry season the animals  gather around the waterholes.

Rainy season animals have plenty foilage and migrate to different places.

Walking activities are best in April-November.

CULTURE

 Zambia has a rich  cultural diversity with over 50 traditional ceremonies taking place annually.Dances and celebration is the aura of the atmosphere with differently attired dancers performing dances with a unique story to tell and rich cultural history.Food is prepared in abundance and variety with many dishes modern and traditional dishes.

WHAT TO WEAR

For walking safari and game drives light neutral clothing and comfortable walking shoes and warm jacket for evening and morning game drives are needed. A wide brimmed hat with sunglasses is recommended.

Military style camouflaged wear is strictly for the government personell.

Red and black clothing and politically affliliated wear are not advisable.
